History:  Based in Joplin, Missouri, the Miners played for 49 seasons between 1902 and 1954. Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees Mickey Mantle and Whitey Herzog played for Joplin. The "Commerce Comet" Mickey Mantle played for Joplin in 1950, leading the league in batting average, runs and hits. Based on this performance, The Mick was promoted directly from the Class-C Western Association to the Yankees for the '51 season.

This is an authentic reproduction of the original 1950 Joplin Miners ballcap. Hand-sewn from genuine wool baseball cloth and finished with felt detailing.
