History: 1958 marked the second time this decade that the Penn Quakers Baseball team finished second in the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League (EIBL). Penn won six of the baseball conference only EIBL Championships during the 63 years of its existence (1930-1992) including three consecutive years in 1988, 1989, & 1990.
